Archana with Martina Hinges former world number 1 tennis player at Sunfeast Open

Archana Tennis Academy is headed by Archana Venkataraman, a former international lawn tennis player, former India number 1 tennis player and gold medalist for India. The academy is in operation since 2004. It has coached hundreds of tennis players to date across different different locations and schools. Many national and state ranked players have been trained by us. It has also conducted national ranking tournaments, open tournaments and in house tournaments.

Location

Currently we are running tennis programs at Ejipura and Koramangala National Games Village Club.

Our Vision

To create a healthier and happier world through the medium of lawn tennis, where people across age groups play, enjoy the game and reach their goals. We have started in this direction by providing tailor made training programs.

Our Mission

Teach and promote tennis across different segments of tennis players who have different goals and aspirations with tailor made programs for each of them.

Why choose us?

As a family we have been in tennis for more than thirty years. Our love for this game began way back in early 1980’s where Venkataraman  ( Archana’s father) decided he needed his daughters to play a sport and after scouting for options narrowed down on lawn tennis.

Tennis was first started by Arthi Venkataraman (Archana’s sister) who within a very short time of starting the game went on to reach the finals of her first ever tennis tournament,  the Tennis Lovers Bangalore’s  1986 tournament. With it both she and the entire family fell in love with the game.  Every day since every member of this family has spent almost all their time on tennis. We have experienced, what it takes to become a world ranked player coming from the very lowest of levels.  On the way we faced and overcame many challenges. It is this experience we share through this tennis coaching venture. We hope to make the journey a bit easier for the current aspirants.

How we do it?

  2. Help with fitness levels of participants
  3. Help each player reaches their highest potential
  4. Identify players with tournament potential and guide them
  5. Motivate players by ensuring they are having fun and by having competitions.
