About Archana Venkataraman’s tennis performance in brief
Archana was the captain of India U-16 Girls Team in Billie Jean King cup held in New Delhi May , 2022 where she led the Indian team to the semi finals.
The Girls in Blue continued delivering on the Court as the host has finished the group stage on top

Archana is former India Number 1, Ekalavya awardee, gold medalist winner for India and internationally ranked lawn tennis player.

- World ranked tennis player in Singles from year 1998 to year 2007.
- Winner of International Tennis Federation doubles titles at 2006[2 tournaments]
- Winner of ITF doubles title in 2005
- Have played in many countries all over world including Spain, France, Japan, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Brunei, Singapore, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Morocco etc.
- Have beaten many top 500 players in the world including Marent K, Sybille Bammer[who later went on to beat Serena Williams]
- Sponsored by Wilson Malaysia for equipment and was among the first Indians who received a grant by International Tennis Federation to participate in tournaments abroad
- Gold Medalist for India at SAF Games
- Represented India many times including World Youth Cup, Hiroshima[and was the only Indian to win matches there]
